NEW DELHI: Hardik Pandya is finally coming back to his home after he was traded to his former Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Mumbai Indians from Gujarat Titans on Monday.
MI, a five-time champion, successfully traded all-rounder Pandya at his current player fee of Rs 15 crore as franchises gear up to finalise their wish lists and allocate budgets for the upcoming IPL auction scheduled for December 19 in Dubai.

Recalling his good old memories at MI, Pandya – who was purchased by the Mumbai franchise for Rs 10 lakh in 2015 – took to social media platform ‘X’, formerly Twitter, posted a throwback video saying it feels good to be back.

“This brings back so many wonderful memories. Mumbai. Wankhede. Paltan. Feels good to be back.” Pandya’s video caption read.

Pandya, who was released just before the IPL 2022 mega auction, captained Gujarat to victory in their inaugural IPL season in 2022 and remained captain in their runners-up finish this year.

In his 31 appearances for GT, Pandya showcased his prowess, amassing 833 runs at an impressive average of 37.86 and a striking strike rate exceeding 133. His contributions included six half-centuries, and his highest score stood at an unbeaten 87*. Additionally, he proved to be a valuable asset with the ball, securing 11 wickets for the team, boasting a best bowling performance of 3/17.
